I'm thinking of doing this, but just one. Propbably a stupid question, but is there any signifigance of right or left?

Women with rings have been a major turn on lately, especially when strap-ons are involved.

Go figure

I've never heard anything about the right or left having any significance.

Funny, this came up tonight at the bar. Apparently, getting one done makes you "gay" because you didn't have what it takes to get both done. FYI.
I don't care personally as I have just recently discovered my own nipples, and think they are pretty F-ing cool.

one word of advice, have a drink before hand!!!

Despite what anyone else has ever told me, it F***ing hurts!!!!

I guess if i had had a beer or two i would have been a little numb and it wouldn't have been so bad....

second word of warning, wear a jumper!!! The metal of the rings gets cold quicker than your body. The cold of the ring makes your nipple tense slightly. Not normally a problem, but with a hole poked through them it just adds to the pain!!!

I'm with anal-guy .. it hurts like nothing I've ever experienced.

I took out my nipple piercing years ago, just wasn't don't much for me. I've had my clit pierced (also removed) .. my nose .. my bellybutton .. my tongue ... my tragus as well as numerous ear piercings. I also have 14 tattoos .. so I'm no stranger to pain .. and hands down .. nipple wins by a mile on my pain tolerance threshold.

However, if you want it .. go for it .. pain is fleeting .. and if you're going thru it for something you really want, then its worth it.

I don't agree with the drinking bit .. and most ethical and professional body piercers don't want to pierce anyone who's got alcohol in their system. Its a blood thinner, and can make you bleed more than you should, same goes for getting tattooed. JMHO

Good Luck!!

My girlfriend and I were talking abou this the other day for her. She really likes her nipples stimulated. I was wondering if you all that have had piercings think it enhances stimulation or not?

I just wanted to add my two cents to this. You definitely don't want to be at all under the influence when you go in for a piercing! Most reputable piercers won't pierce you if you smell / seem like you've had any alcohol; not just because of the blood thinning effect but also that alcohol affects how your body processes sensation, and you don't want to go getting sick in the middle of it!

As far as the left / right thing, it goes back to "flagging" (showing your interest in top or bottom activities) which started and has pretty much remained in the gay men's community, though it's seen occasionally in the women's community as well as some in the BDSM community. Even there, though, nobody puts too much credence in whether someone is only pierced on one side of their body :)

I think I'm going to have to pierce mine soon. Until recently, I'd never paid them any mind. For what ever reason I've started to notice them, now I can't get enough! It seems if my day isn't the same with out some time in the clamps, and a good 'cupping' in the morning doesn't hurt either. I'm going to have to buy some 'meaner' clamps, my rubber tipped ones barely get the job done any more!

I have a bar though the head of my dick. I have had both my nipples done too.

I had my nipples done while in a BDSM session I was strapped down to a table, gagged and it was hot.

Looking back yeah have a belt before hand it hurts a lot!

Not withstanding the remark about drinking & BDSM.....Where have you been all my life, Valen? :)

I have both nips done, and yes I did smoke the weed (sorry Tristan). It was by far the most intense experience I have ever experienced. The adrenaline rush from the needle killed any residual buzz & I was high as a kite from the adrenaline rush alone.

I'd like to get a PA but the honey's not on board. She says she'd be grossed out by seeing my actual goods pierced even though everything that I've read says it's much easier pain wise than getting nips done.

I had my right nipple pierced years ago and that was the most exquisite pain I had ever felt in my life. It hurt like hell and I am not a stranger to pain either. I took the piercing out when I was breastfeeding my first son and have considered having it done again now that I am done with having babies but my tits are not the same perky things they used to be. I loved the way it looked for sure though.

Did you wear a ring or a barbell?

To a woman using the words "exquisite" and "pain" in the same sentence, I'd say, "go for it" You might have changed some via child birth but I figure, with a mind like that, you're just as delightfully delicious as ever - perhaps even more so! - MD

In my early 20's I had multiple piercings.

Septum
Tongue
Belly button
ears
and Nipples..... It hurst the most
I also had a Reverse Prince Albert and that didn't even hurt as much as the nipples. My nipples have still remained very sensitive, but thats a good thing!:D

I miss the RPA, and I am thinking of doing it again!

I've heard that having this done can seriously decrease sensitivity. Any truth to that? I'd like to get it done, but I would be lost without the sensitivity.

Well I suppose if it is done wrong that might happen... but in general I thin that most cases increase the sensitivity by a lot. That is often why people do it. It worked for me!
I would make sure you go to an experienced and professional piercer.

Good luck!

Thank you. Obviously I haven't done a huge amount of research into it. I've always thought it should increase sensitivity, which would be FANTASTIC. I'm already almost able to reach orgasm via nipple stimulation alone...just a liiiittttlllee more... :D

I know this is an older post but, my husband bought me a pair of nipple huggers a while back. The only time we used them was during sex, however on their website I was read their information and research and found it to be enlightening to say the least. I thought why not try them during the day while working around the house. They are awesome. The sensations from them and the stimulation had me wet the whole time. After two days of wearing them my husband and I had the most incredible weekend. Being in my forties I find that I am not always interested in sex and I know my husband is (he is younger). But these things really made me interested. They are a great alternative to piercings. Don't think I could deal with the pain.

I'm not saying just do it anyway but if you can get to the point where your S/O is not against you getting it done then maybe you could proceed?

You can always take it out if it’s really not working for you both and it will heal up.

I have a PA (but no other piercings) and my S/O is now fine with it. She wasn't particularly convinced before hand but the sun hasn’t gone out and I’ve had it for 6 years now...

It was not a big deal at all. Very little pain and quick to heal.

Most of my friends and family would be absolutely amazed I have a PA as I’m "not the sort".

But that’s baloney of course, who is "the sort" for this sort of thing? It’s a personal choice of course and hard to fathom. I’d not be without it now.
