I'm a lame blogger. You probably figured that out already since I have not blogged for 2 months! If you are reading this, then you haven't given up on me, so thanks for your patience. I'm back dating these entries, so I can separate them. Where to begin?
The month of February was dominated by Dark Odyssey: Winter Fire. Greg, Karri, the boy and I worked like mad on the event. It was our first Dark Odyssey at a hotel, our first during the winter, so we had lots of new territory to cover. We arrived in Baltimore Thursday, and stayed up too late loading stuff into the playspace, organizing registration materials, etc. Friday morning, I got up at 7:00 am, with my day carefully planned out, every minute accounted for with so much to do. Then we discovered that the Baltimore Sun had "broke" the "story": "Sex convention at Turf Valley leaves some residents upset." What followed was insane: television interviews with all the major networks, which was not only stressful for me, but, perhaps more importantly, set my schedule back by four hours. I spent the next 48 hours trying to catch up. I worked my ass off all weekend; there was just a lot more to do, to manage, and to worry about having 500 people and a new venue that wasn't necessarily 100% comfortable with having us there. It gave me a newfound appreciation for the owners and staff of our venue for our September event, Dark Odyssey: Summer Camp because they really do let us do whatever we want. Lots of people had lots of fun, and that makes me happy. I didn't play at all, but that's okay, I didn't expect to. I can play at other people's events!
After Dark Odyssey, a frequent Best Lesbian Erotica contributor and friend was on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?; she won $50,000-congrats, KW!!
