I spoke at Smith College last weekend, and it went very well. I did 2 different talks ("Confessions of a Sex-Crazed Mind" and "Sexploration") and a Q&A, which was a lot of work. We capped the weekend off with a  reading of Best Lesbian Erotica 2005 with local contributors. Bear Bergman came straight from the airport to entertain everyone and looked sharp in a shirt and tie. Skian McGuire, dressed in a handsome spring suit, looked absolutely fistable, um, I mean, fabulous. Peggy Munson, a longtime contributor to BLE, couldn't be there, partially because of her ongoing battle with Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome (CFIDS) and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS)(learn more here). She sent Casey, a dapper butch who'd never read in front of an audience before, to be her "proxy reader," and he was delightful! A bunch of us (in photo: Casey, Skian, me and Bear) went out to sushi afterwards where we cooked up a scheme to have a wild queer play party at someone's parents' house in Houston. Yee-ha! In other Best Lesbian Erotica news, I heard today that Rachel Kramer Bussel's story "The End" has been selected by Susie Bright for Best American Erotica 2006. Go RKB!
