On Friday, as she was on her way to Las Vegas for the weekend, my friend Carly asked me what my plans were for the weekend. "My plan for this weekend is to not work." It was that simple. The boy and I have been working every single weekend for at least a month in order to get the website up, and I just wanted to relax. Saturday, we went to the dog park with the new pup. Oh, FYI, if you don't like dogs, you're going to hate my blog. Ask anyone who knows me: I am a crazy dog person. For those of you who don't know, we have three: 10 year old Reggie Love (a mutt who's part whippet rescued from a shelter), 8 year old Jordan (a Boston Terrier who's a retired show dog), and the newest: Harley, a 1 year old yellow lab-pit bull mix who we just rescued from the street (literally-our street) on August 31. They are totally like our children.

On Sunday, we drove out to Long Island to visit my friend K. and her two kids. K. is one of my best friends from high school. After she graduated college, she went into the Peace Corps in Africa, and decided to stay there. She met a guy, got married, opened her own school, and had a baby. So, she has two kids because her husband had a son from a previous relationship (who's now 15) and her little one is now 4. We went to see Spongebob Squarepants The Movie; I'm not big on animation Let me rephrase that: I hate 99% of animation but seeing stuff with a four year old is a totally different story. Plus, now I can talk to my friend Julie about it cuz she's a big fan! I actually got into it, and would have laughed a lot if it wasn't for said four year old sssshhhing both me and his mom every time we giggled.
Not working this weekend means that December's Double T newsletter isn't out yet. The guys at Backbone Technology (who run my site and all my databases) are still working on it. For those of you wondering where it is, please be patient! This will be the first one sent out with new software and the first one available online, so we have to get it right.

I woke up this morning to good news from a friend. Buck Angel, the only FtM transsexual porn star with a member site on the web, signed an exclusive contract with Robert Hill Releasing! Go Buck! It's double exciting because this means that I'm going to see him at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo is Las Vegas. The last time I went to the expo it was still a part of the Consumer Electronic Show (CES). Now, it's its own thing, with the highlight, of course, being the AVN Awards. I'm staying with Carly, Jamye, and Jonno of Fleshbot, who I've never met but who I already worship because I worship Fleshbot. Carly's being followed around by cameras for her own reality show, so that should be entertaining. There is lots to do: I definitely want to interview director Robby D. for an upcoming Voice column. Want to hang out with my friends Nina Hartley and Ernest Greene, and try to spend some quality time with Juli Ashton so we can talk about our adventure in April (more on that later). Plus, I want to hand out my butt-positive t-shirts to appropriate folks! After all, what porn star doesn't want a shirt that says "I (Heart) My Ass"?
